Why Employ Migrant Workers
- Migrant workers do jobs that indiginenous population don't want;
- they support local businesses: spending money in the UK, low paid labour force influence cheap goods (as clothes and food)
- Migrant workers pay more in taxes than they take back in public services (only 2,501 applications for Income support and Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) were processed between May 2004 and September 2005, and of these applications, only 100 (less than four percent) were allowed to proceed for further consideration. To put this figure into context, around 200,000 people flow onto JSA each month, whereas fewer than benefit applications per month from A8 nationals have been able to proceed for further consideration).
